Download 印光大師法語 佛說經咒甚多，誰能一一遍持。古人擇其要者列為日課，早則《楞嚴》、《大悲》、《十小咒》、《心經》，念畢，則念佛若干聲，迴向淨土。晚則《彌陀經》、《大懺悔》、《蒙山》、念佛迴向。今叢林皆圖省工夫，早則只念《楞嚴咒》、《心經》，晚則單日念《彌陀經》、《蒙山》，雙日念《大懺悔》、《蒙山》。汝言《禪門日誦》經咒甚多者，不知乃朝暮課誦外之附錄者。在家居士，功課亦可照禪門朝暮功課做，亦可隨自意立。如早晚專念《彌陀經》、《往生咒》念佛，或早則專念《大悲咒》、念佛，晚則念《彌陀經》、《往生咒》、念佛。或有持《金剛經》者亦可。然無論誦何經持何咒，皆須念佛若干聲迴向，方合修淨業之宗旨。汝之所說，乃見異思遷，雖是好心，實為心無定主，隨境所轉。何經何咒，不稱讚其功德殊勝？依汝知見，則看此經必廢彼經，持此咒則廢彼咒，以力不能兼顧，勢必如此，是尚得名為明理真修之士乎？再推廣言之，汝若遇參禪者讚禪而破斥淨土，必至隨彼參禪。及他天台、賢首、慈恩、秘密各宗，每遇一知識提倡，必至捨此修彼。不知汝是什麼根性，要做法法皆通之大通家，但以業深智淺，大通家做不到，並將仗佛慈力帶業往生一法置之度外。待到臨命終時，不向鑊湯爐炭裡去，定向驢胎馬腹裡去。即幸而不失人身，以今生尚無正智，頗有修行之癡福，以茲享彼癡福，便造惡業，一氣不來，直入三途，欲得知天地父母之名尚不能，況得知淨土法門乎。汝看光《文鈔》，作麼生解？須知一句阿彌陀佛，持之及極，成佛尚有餘，將謂念《彌陀經》念佛者，便不能滅定業乎？佛法如錢，在人善用，汝有錢則何事不可為。汝能專修一法，何求不得，豈區區持此咒念此經，得此功德，不得其餘功德乎。善體光言，自可一了百了，否則縱說的多，汝仍是心無定見，有何益乎？（增廣文鈔·復周智茂居士書） 修持功課，隨機而立，愈簡愈妙。若都是久修者，不妨依《禪門日誦》而念。若初心者多，則無論朝暮，均可以念《彌陀經》、《往生咒》，即念佛矣。朝暮如是，日間如是亦可，不念經咒，即以「讚佛偈」起亦可。須知所有功課，均以念佛為主，經咒為賓。知此義，再按林員之身份而定，庶可適宜。光何能特訂一章程，令人依從乎？天下叢林，均照禪門日誦。慈溪文溪西方寺，朝暮皆念《彌陀經》，固不宜執著而論。所不可稍有更張者，信、願、行三之宗旨也。（文鈔續編·復陳慧新居士書）
